Nightmare on Elm Street for Google?
Recently there was a 44.6 billion dollar in cash and plus stock offer made by Microsoft to purchase the second biggest search engine company, Yahoo.
At this point, there is no word if that offer was accepted or declined, but this could definitely be good for their consumers.
MSN and Yahoo are the other two major players in the search engine industry. If these two giants were to merge this could spell, Nightmare on Elm Street for Google.
For the most part competition often helps to level the playing field in the consumer market place. This would also take a big bite out of the monopoly that Google has and open up opportunities for consumers with a competitor that could compete against Google.
For me, a little slicing, dicing and spicing would be a nice thing to see in the search engine industry….
