Are you building backlinks with sites in Bad Neighborhoods?
Submitting your web site to web directories is very effective when building backlinks and will also improve your rankings in the Search Engines. There are thousands of directories out there to choose from, to submit your URL in their directory.
The problem is, which ones are in bad neighborhoods? You do not want to submit to a web site, which is in a bad neighborhood or which is penalized. I have discovered a nice text link checker tool, which will scan the links on your web site and flag the ones which could possibly cause you some problems.
You can check this tool out at: Bad Neighborhood - Link Exchange Tool
I hope that this tool is useful, and would like to hear your comments about it.

It could be a useful tool but I’m not sure how reliable it is.
If you run your site (Mad mouse) on the tool it shows 4/5 questionable links, so is the answer remove them?

At this point in time, I am going to leave them because they are questionable.

Hi Squeaky.
I have always wondered how to determine what is a bad neighbourhood. When you drive down a street you can usually tell if its bad or not, but on the Internet there is no way of telling, no way of telling if the site you are submitting to has been blacklisted. So hopefully this tool will sort this out thank you. I will update you after I tried the software out. I will say that I am hesitant and how do they know what is bad. But I will update you. Thank you

I find it helpful but it is still a new tool and needs some work. It is nice that it found a site that I approved, and after a couple of months the site turned into a adult site. You still have to use your judgment of what you do or do not want…
