Environmental Services Co-operative Limited or Enviro Coop Ltd is an officially Maltese - registered co-operative created by environment scientists whose main aims are to promote and tackle environmental issues in various sectors. Our consultants cover a wide range of expertise in environmental topics and thus offer these services to the community.
Founded in 1895, the International Co-operative Alliance is an independent, non-governmental organisation which unites, represents and serves co-operatives worldwide. It is the largest non-governmental organisations in the world. ICA members are national and international co-operative organisations in all sectors of activity including agriculture, banking, fisheries, and health, housing, industry, insurance, tourism and consumer co-operatives.
Magpie Recycling began life in 1990 at Hanover Community Centre. Three volunteers collected drink cans and glass, plus office paper from a small number of local businesses, including the Universities. Magpie became a Co-operative limited company in 1992 and by 1994 had expanded its range of commercial services to necessitate the move to its current premises, provided by the local authority at Saunders Park.
