The Australasian Legal Information Institute (AustLII) provides free internet access to Australasian legal materials. AustLII's broad public policy agenda is to improve access to justice through better access to information. To that end, we have become one of the largest sources of legal materials on the net, with over 20 gigabytes of raw text materials and over 4 million searchable documents.
The British and Irish Legal Information Institute (BAILII) provides access to the most comprehensive set of British and Irish primary legal materials that are available for free and in one place on the internet. In September 2006, BAILII included 74 databases covering 7 jurisdictions. The system contains around 9.4 gigabytes of legal materials and around 186,000 searchable documents with about 4 million internal hypertext links.
To support the legal profession in the performance of its duties while providing the public with permanent open access to the legal heritage of all Canadian jurisdiction. By the end of the 1990s, a number of collections of legislation were available free of charge on the Internet, and a significant number of courts were also offering free access to their decisions.
The Hong Kong Legal Information Institute Institute HKLII - pronounced 'H K Lee' is a free access legal information system developed and jointly operated by the University of Hong Kong department of computer science and faculty of law, with the kind assistance of the Australasian legal information.
