RTEMS is the Real-Time Operating System for Multiprocessor Systems. It is a full featured RTOS that supports a variety of open API and interface standards. The February and March classes in Huntsville and Munich Germany were outstanding successes. Classes are likely to be held in both Huntsville Alabama and Munich Germany again in 2007. Major decisions about RTEMS are made by the Steering Committee, guided by the Mission Statement
FreeDOS is a free DOS-compatible operating system for IBM-PC compatible systems. FreeDOS is made of up many different, separate programs that act as "packages" to the overall FreeDOS Project. FreeDOS is open source software; you can view and edit our source code. Most FreeDOS programs are distributed under the GNU General Public License means they are not only open source software, but they are Free software.
