Bauska is situated on Via Baltica, 66 km from Riga, the capital of Latvia. This is one of the beautiful tourism places. There is very little information as regards Bauska being inhabited until the middle of the 15th century. Evidence has been found by archaeologists that ancient settlement might have been formed at the confluence of the two rivers the Musa and the Memele approximately 3500 years ago.
