American Apparel owner Dov Charney has been a passionate producer of T-shirts and related apparel for over 10 years (an obsession that can be traced back to his teens in Montreal). Charney, an early pioneer of the woman's tee, went on to build American Apparel, a vertically integrated, made-in-the-USA, sweatshop-free enterprise.
