This site is dedicated to getting the word out on how to properly care for several species of reptiles in captivity. Many reptiles are obtained by people with little or no knowledge of how they should be kept. Unfortunately many pet stores also give out faulty information when selling these animals. There are even some vets out there giving out faulty or incomplete information
Diana and I started Camlon Reptiles in 1999 after we purchased a small group of Blizzard Lizards (true Leucistic Leopard Geckos). We have both always had a great love of animals big and small and loved working with and caring for them. Diana grew up with cats, horses, sheep, chickens and goats in Arizona where she helped care for all the animals on her dad’s small farm. I grew up with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters and rabbits in Virginia.
Reptiles and amphibians are largely misunderstood and feared by the general public. These animals form a significant part of the world’s biological diversity which needs to be preserved. Our goal is to educate people about reptiles and amphibians. We accomplish this by educating students and the general public through teaching.
