TAILWINDS BEGINNINGS In 1986, the first Tailwinds Catalog was published by two air race pilots, Marion Jayne and daughter Nancy Palozola. Marion, the top cross country air race pilot and thirteenth woman in the United States to earn an ATP (Air Transport Pilot) rating, and along with Nancy (and sister Pat), have won more cross country air races combined than any other pilots, male or female.
