UNICRI is United Nations entity established in 1967 to support countries worldwide in crime prevention and criminal justice. The Scandinavian Research Council for Criminology was established in 1962 by the Ministries of Justice in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The purpose of the Council is to further criminological research within the member countries and advise the Scandinavian governments and the Council on issues related to criminology
