The Canadian Centre on Disability Studies is a consumer-directed, university-affiliated centre dedicated to research, education and information dissemination on disability issues. Through our activities we promote full and equal participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of society - locally, nationally and internationally.
Welcome to Abilityinfo! My name is Mike Pegg and I am a 1997 graduate of the Developmental Services Worker Program at Georgian College. I was inspired to construct this page during my time at school as a way to share useful links to disability resources for fellow students. The site has since grown into a multi-featured news, jobs, and discussion resource for students from around the world studying to support and work for individuals with disabilities.
The Disability Research Institute (DRI) is funded through a cooperative agreement between the U.S. Social Security Administration, Office of Disability and Income Security Programs, and the College of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). The Institute conducts cutting-edge research with teams across the nation to develop high-quality research that directly informs disability policy decision-makers in new and innovative ways.
