Farmer, who now resides in Nashville, was All-SEC and an All American while at Alabama. He was a first round draft pick of the Dallas Mavericks in 1987 and spent five years in the NBA. In 1991 he was a member of the Birmingham Bandits, a Continental Basketball Association team that lasted one year before moving. He also toured with the Magic Johnson All-Stars for three years.
